Songea Namtumbo Agricultural Marketing Co-operative Union Ltd (SONAMCU Ltd) has announced 7 job vacancies for qualified Tanzanian applicants. The positions are available at the SONAMCU Head Office in Songea, Ruvuma Region.

1. Assistant Accounts Officer

Number of Posts: 1
Salary Scale: SONAMCUSS-C1
Duty Station: SONAMCU Head Office, Songea

Job Description

The Assistant Accounts Officer will support financial operations, accounting records, financial reporting, budgeting and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare petty cash vouchers and handle bank transactions.
• Maintain fixed asset records and conduct reconciliations.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Participate in budgeting and expenditure monitoring.
• Ensure proper management of imprest and related procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
• Ongoing NBAA professional examinations are an added advantage.
• Computer accounting skills.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

2. Internal Audit Officer

Salary Scale: SONAMCUSS-D1
Duty Station: SONAMCU Head Office, Songea

Job Description

The Internal Audit Officer will conduct internal audits, review financial controls, assess compliance and support risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate internal control systems.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare audit reports.
• Review accounting records.
• Follow up on audit recommendations.
• Assess compliance with policies and regulations.
• Conduct special audits where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Auditing, Accountancy, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration majoring in Accountancy/Finance.
• CPA (T), ACCA, ACA, CIA or equivalent professional qualification recognised by NBAA.
• Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.

3. Procurement Officer

Number of Posts: 1
Salary Scale: SONAMCUSS-D1
Duty Station: SONAMCU Head Office, Songea

Job Description

The Procurement Officer will support procurement activities, stores management and compliance with applicable procurement requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare procurement requisitions and purchase orders.
• Maintain procurement and supplier records.
• Coordinate stock taking.
• Participate in procurement planning and tender processes.
• Assist in evaluating bids.
• Maintain inventory records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Computer literate.
• Registered by PSPTB.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

4. Driver

Number of Posts: 4
Salary Scale: SONAMCUSS-B1
Duty Station: SONAMCU Head Office, Songea

Job Description

Drivers will be responsible for the safe operation and proper maintenance of SONAMCU vehicles and transportation of staff, goods and documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and maintain assigned vehicles safely.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle service and fuel records.
• Report mechanical problems and accidents.
• Ensure the safety and security of vehicles and their contents.
• Transport staff, goods and documents as required.

Qualifications

• CSEE certificate.
• Valid Class E and C driving licence.
• Basic motor vehicle mechanics knowledge is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and Kiswahili.

• Not be above 45 years of age.
