SIMA JOBS 2026 – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) VACANCY
The Sports Infrastructure Management Agency (SIMA) has announced a vacancy for one (1) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position for qualified and experienced Tanzanian professionals.
SIMA operates under the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports and is responsible for the management, development, monitoring and maintenance of sports infrastructure in Tanzania.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Physical Education
- Sports Management
- Civil Engineering
- Public Administration
- Business Administration
- Economics
- Quantity Surveying
- Other related fields
WORK EXPERIENCE
Applicants are required to have:
- At least 10 years of working experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership position.
- Experience in the sports industry is preferred.
- Experience in sports infrastructure management is an added advantage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Executive Officer will serve as the Accounting Officer and Spokesperson of SIMA. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of SIMA.
- Preparing and submitting strategic plans, business plans and budgets.
- Implementing approved plans and ensuring performance targets are achieved.
- Concluding procurement contracts in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Serving as Secretary to the Ministerial Advisory Board.
- Managing human resources, including organization, control and discipline of employees.
- Managing Agency assets and resources efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Overseeing procurement and controlling supplies.
- Reviewing management and organizational arrangements to improve performance.
- Preparing and submitting performance reports to the Ministry and other relevant institutions.
- Maintaining good relationships with the Ministry, customers and other stakeholders.
- Addressing operational matters that may result in public or parliamentary concerns.
- Serving as the official Spokesperson of SIMA.
- Performing other duties assigned by the Permanent Secretary.
