1. ICT OFFICER II – SYSTEM ANALYSIS

Salary Scale: TIRAS 5

Location: Dar es Salaam

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define system and software application requirements.
  • Identify system platforms, components and dependencies.
  • Examine software to ensure quality, reliability and system security.
  • Identify and design solutions that meet user requirements.
  • Assist in conducting user acceptance tests.
  • Establish detailed program specifications through discussions with system end users.
  • Perform systems testing and document test results.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input for user documentation.
  • Assist in capturing user requirements.
  • Support staff in training and supporting end users.
  • Coordinate systems users and system developers.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Holder of a Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering from a recognized institution.




2. ICT OFFICER II – APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Salary Scale: TIRAS 5

Location: Dar es Salaam

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design interactive applications based on deployment platforms such as web and mobile.
  • Prepare functional and non-functional technical specifications.
  • Translate program specifications into programming or scripting languages.
  • Undertake coding, testing, debugging and installation of application programmes.
  • Configure appropriate application servers.
  • Prepare program documentation.
  • Develop installation and upgrade guidelines.
  • Provide support to system users.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software application problems.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Holder of a Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering from a recognized institution.





3. RECEPTIONIST II

Salary Scale: TIRAS 2

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and manage visitors at the front desk.
  • Maintain the visitors' register book.
  • Receive and channel incoming telephone calls.
  • Operate and maintain the switchboard.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate officers.
  • Keep the telephone call register.
  • Maintain internal and external telephone directories.
  • Ensure visitors have appointments and receive approval from the responsible officer.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Holder of Form IV Certificate with passes in English and Kiswahili, together with a Certificate in Telephone Operation, Reception, Front Office Management or another equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.





4. INSURANCE OFFICER II – GENERAL INSURANCE

Salary Scale: TIRAS 4
Deadline: 25 September 2026
Location: Dar es Salaam

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and process applications for registration and renewal of registration certificates.
  • Collect and tabulate statistical data on registration of insurance players.
  • Analyse applications for registration and renewal of registration for intermediaries and other service providers.
  • Study and analyse new insurance products to be offered in the market.
  • Attend to enquiries from the public and insurance players.
  • Participate in regular inspections.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Holder of a Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Insurance, or Risk Management and Insurance from a recognized institution.




5. ACTUARIAL OFFICER II

Salary Scale: TSS 5

Location: Dar es Salaam

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain an industry-wide database on actuarial parameters.
  • Carry out actuarial data mining.
  • Collect and analyse actuarial data.
  • Carry out actuarial investigations on insurers.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Holder of a Degree in Actuarial Science from a recognized institution.
