Job Purpose

The Freelancer Business Executive will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong client base, selling advertising opportunities and providing effective services to clients. The role will contribute to increasing advertising sales and achieving revenue targets.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Identify potential advertising clients and understand their businesses and customer markets.
  • Promote advertising opportunities across MCL's print, digital, social media and events platforms.
  • Understand advertising rates, readership, circulation and available media products.
  • Obtain client requirements and complete sales according to agreed terms.
  • Assist clients with advertising content and coordinate with the Graphic Design team.
  • Book advertisements into the company's system and ensure all required documents are attached.
  • Prepare daily sales plans and submit sales activity reports.
  • Follow up with clients regarding outstanding payments and invoices.
  • Prepare weekly collection reports showing payments received and outstanding balances.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities and payment follow-ups.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • 2–3 years of working experience, preferably in sales, advertising, business development or a related field.
